Upgrading Intellicus to 25.x

Intellicus 25.x introduces significant functional enhancements while maintaining full backward compatibility. All reports, dashboards, query objects, and other analytical content designed in earlier versions will continue to function in Intellicus 25.x.

Support entitlement

Ensure that you have an active Intellicus Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) to access the latest GA version of the product.

Upgrade testing

Perform a full upgrade rehearsal in a test environment before upgrading the production environment. Validate all reports, dashboards, query objects, analytical objects (cubes), schedules, and export formats.

Object consistency

Intellicus 25.x introduces enhanced UI and functionality. As a result, visual or functional changes may occur in reports, dashboards, and query objects. Validate all business-critical content after upgrade.

White-labeling and customizations

If your Intellicus deployment includes branding or customizations, reapply these changes in the upgraded version. This includes modified styles, logos, custom scripts, or portal configurations.

Upgrade Process Overview

  1. Download the Intellicus 25.x Setup:

    • Obtain the latest GA version from the Intellicus Support Portal or contact support@intellicus.com.

  2. Backup Existing Deployment:

    • Take a backup of the following components:

      • Entire Intellicus installation directory

      • Database schemas used for Intellicus metadata and job scheduling

      • Configuration files (e.g., .properties, server.xml, security.xml)

      • Custom scripts or white-labeled UI files

  3. Refer to Platform-specific Installation Guide:

    • Follow the installation guide relevant to your OS (Windows, Linux, or macOS) to install Intellicus 25.x.

    • Perform a fresh installation or choose the upgrade option, as applicable.

  4. Restore and Validate:

    • Restore necessary configurations and validate the environment.

    • Reapply white-labeling or custom changes, if applicable.

    • Test all major functionalities including:

      • Reports

      • Dashboards

      • Query Objects

      • Cubes

      • Schedules

      • Export formats (PDF, Excel, etc.)
