Slider-Based Filter for “Between” Criteria
You can configure a slider-based filter for measure fields and DateTime fields when using the Between filter criteria in a High Speed View (HSV) report. This interactive input method improves the user experience when selecting ranges, especially for continuous data such as numbers and dates.
To create a slider-based filter, perform the following steps.
Open the HSV Report Designer
Open or create the High Speed View report where you want to apply the slider-based filter.
Add a filter field
From the Fields panel, drag a measure or DateTime field into the Filters area.
Select the Between filter criteria
Open the Filter Actions menu.
Under Change Criteria, select Between.
Select the Slider view format
Click the Actions menu and select Slider View.
If this is the first time you configure a slider for the field, the Slider Properties dialog opens.
Configure slider properties
Enter the required Min and Max values to display on the slider.
In Slider Steps, specify the number of intervals for slider movement.
Select the From and To values. Use the calendar or click In List to to select the required values.
Select Set to apply the configuration.
Edit and save the filter
Click the From or To value to edit the configurations.
Save the report to preserve the slider configuration.
Verify slider behavior
Interact with the slider handles to define the range.
Confirm that the report view updates dynamically as you adjust the slider.
Use tooltips and indicators to check the current values.
To switch back, open the Actions menu and select Text View.
