Accessing Studio Reports
Intellicus Studio is a report design tool for building pixel-perfect reports. Follow the steps below to launch and connect to the Intellicus report server.
Start Intellicus Desktop Studio
Click Start > Programs > Intellicus > Studio to launch Intellicus Studio.
The Login screen appears.
Login to Intellicus Studio
Provide the following details:
Field | Description |

Login Name | Enter your login name. |
Password | Enter the password associated with your login. |
Note
The login credentials are provided by your system administrator.
Expand Login Options
Click the Options icon to provide additional details:
Field | Description |
|---|---|
Organization | Select your organization from the dropdown list. |
Locale | Select the locale to define portal language, date/time format, currency format, etc. |
Time Zone | Select the time zone. This impacts date/time outputs in report previews. |
Click OK to proceed. Upon successful login, Intellicus Studio opens. If a connection issue occurs, the Report Client Configuration dialog appears.
Report Client Configuration
If Intellicus Studio cannot connect to the Report Server, the Report Client Configuration screen appears.
Configuration Options
Field | Description |

Web Portal | Select to connect via a web portal. |
URL | Enter the portal URL. Use this if the report server is not available. |
Report Server | Select to connect directly to a report server. |
IP | Enter the IP address of the server. |
Port | Enter the port number used by the server. |
Click Test to verify the connection.
If successful, a message appears: Test connection successful!
Click OK to launch Intellicus Studio.
Intellicus Studio Interface
After successful login, the Intellicus Studio window opens. If a report was previously opened, it will appear automatically. Otherwise, you can start creating a new report.
Interface Overview
The Intellicus Studio window consists of the following components:

Menus and Toolbars | Provide access to design and configuration features. |
Explorer Pane | Allows you to browse and select fields for your report. |
Fields List Pane | Lists available fields, user/system parameters, and formulas. These can be added to the report layout. |
Properties Pane | Displays configurable properties of the selected report control. |
Report Design Pane | Lists applicable properties for the selected control, with descriptions. You can sort properties or view them in grouped format. |
Layout Pane (Canvas) | Main design area where report components are placed. |
Intellicus Studio supports designing complex reports with charts, images, crosstabs, sub-reports, and dynamic content.
Accessing Studio Reports from the Intellicus Portal
In addition to the desktop-based Studio, you can access and design Studio reports directly from the Intellicus web portal.
Steps to Open Studio Reports via Portal
Log in to the Intellicus portal.
Go to Navigate > Design > Studio Report from the main menu.
The Studio Report Designer interface launches within the browser.
From here, you can open an existing report or create a new one using the online Studio editor.
This web-based interface offers a similar experience to the desktop application and supports designing pixel-perfect reports with charts, tables, crosstabs, and more.
